Hi all,i m Alin(50),Eugenia(46) and six children,three boys and three girls.
Our project is a small rural eco place in Maramureș where we are slowly developing an orchard, garden and eco-village while restoring traditional houses.
Most of the farming activities are connected to orchard care, gardening and maintaining the land in a natural and traditional way
We usually provide three meals per day.
Meals are often prepared together and include traditional homemade food using ingredients from local farms and shepherds in the area. Around the village there are several traditional farms with sheep, cows and goats where we can obtain fresh milk, cheese and other natural products.
The area around our village is beautiful and very peaceful, perfect for outdoor activities.
Only about 900 meters from our property are the Lăpuș Gorges, a spectacular natural area with cliffs, forests and hiking trails. It is a great place for walking, exploring nature and taking photos.
Volunteers can also enjoy:
hiking in the surrounding hills and forests
swimming in natural rivers during summer
exploring nearby villages and traditional wooden architecture
visiting local shepherd farms
experiencing local festivals and traditions when they take place.
The region of Maramureș is famous for its traditional culture, wooden churches, rural landscapes and friendly communities, making it a wonderful place for volunteers who want to experience authentic countryside life.
