Description of the area:
Description of land and geographic region: Our village (originally hungarian) of 300 inhabitants is situated at 25 km of Fagaras in Transilvania, in a hilly region at 500m altitude, sourounded by forests and grasland.
What do you grow on the farm:
Agriculture is an element within others of our life. We developped different projects in favour of the local community. For example: a sawmill, regular transport service to Fagaras (Taxi Comunitar), recycling of plastic waste. In development is the creation of a small fire department for the village. We organise summer camps for young people and develop with them micro projects for the local community (f.e. activities for the children of the village).
Farm size:
trebuie completat
Months when they accept voulteers:
All year.
Volunteer activities:
We need help in building, working with wood, in the garden, taking care of the animals and food preparations. Agriculture is an element of our life. We have developed many communitary projects. We also organize summer camps, for childen.
Separate, simple houses. Shower and toilets are outside. Heating with wood.
Cooking for vegetarians is no problem at all though.
A few words about the family:
The idea of our project can be summarized with two words: autonomy and solidarity. Ideals that we try to come close, knowing that we can never reach them, but are constantly on the move towards them. In short: life is not boring for us and we have a lot of work.
Dogs, cats, chicken and rabbits.

Dear Mrs Anne and Erwann Joliff ,

My name is Milan Merloz, I'm 22 years old, I come from the Atlantic cost of France and I have been travelling in Roumania with my lovely friend Maria (22 years old - native from Dej, near Cluj-Napoca) since February 2021. After modestly discovered the seeds of Roumanian culture of gardens, and considered with such enthusiasm the peasant lifestyle of Transylvania, I wish to move myself to a more practical approach of organic agriculture. As many of the Wwoofers and as a student of architecture, I feel close to the eco-transition that with have to handle and I consider no better way to learn of alternatives such as a true immersion in a homestead.

That's how I (and we, with Maria, as possible) would be pleased to join you in reconstructing and repairing your house or managing the garden starting on the 13th of June 2021 (for 3 weeks max) subject to your disponibilities and needs. Thanks to our studies, we have already been in contact with such a working site.

We can accommodate ourselves easily with a tent.

It is probable that your announcement on the Wwoof Web Site must have been old, but I extend here my motivation as a probable future Wwoof worker !

If you need any more details on me or Maria, I'll be glad to enquire you:
