The town of Ardud is right in the hillside area at an altitude of 140 m above sea level. From a geological point of view, the Ardud perimeter is situated between two different areas: the "Codru" hill with the piedmont hills extending to Ardud and "Someşul Plain", which is the second geomorphological form of this vast territory. Ardud Vii is a very beautiful area with acacia and oak forests. We can offer: - In the main house 2 badrooms with separate bathroom, - In the second house a room with 2-4 sleeping places, with a fireplace. The bathroom is in the main house. - An entire aria for campers/camping, kitchen with all necessary appliances, barbeque place, internet. Noble vine (grapes); hybrid, many fruit trees. Few bee families, a small vegetable garden, rabbits, doves, cats and many more. I need people who know how to work with gardening, vineyards, fruit trees, until processing, vinification, brandy making, construction, cleaning, painting and so on. Depending on the season of your arrival, you can help with gathering fruits, grapes, nuts, berries, making jam, picking mushrooms from the forest, drying the fruits, cooking, beekeeping, renovation of spaces and completion of existing ones with modifications in the sense of separating a future bathroom, water pipes, electricity, fence building/restauration, repair of building restoration, manufacturing of rustic wood, build bread oven, build wooden cottage and so on. We also need someone skilled in restoring an old dirt house, pluvial water collection system. At the property there is no cleaning service, so you will have to clean you room and the spaces you use (kitchen, bathroom).

Stayed 5 days at Gyongyi’s place. I felt very welcome at her house. She learned me a lot about how to use herbs for all different purposes. Besides that we (Tomas also volunteer and me) together with Gyongyi pressed the grapes for making red wine. And from the cake we started with the proces for making palinka. Gyongyi went with us picking mushrooms in the surroundings from Ardud, she used our catch for dinner. I had a very nice stay, she is very hospitable, knows a lot and likes to share her knowledge to others.

I stayed for three weeks at Gyongyi's place in August, and it will be a period of time I will always remember - in the best way possible. She and her whole Family treated me like one of them and I felt so welcome. Together we made dried fruits and vegetables, went into the woods searching for mushrooms, carried for the animals at the farm, cooked together traditional Romanian food and so much more. I definitely recommend visiting Gyongyi and experience the traditional Romanian way of life in such a wonderful place in the peaceful outback of the Romanian North.

Giyongyi is such a kind and caring host. I wish there were more words I could say to express my gratitude. I originally was supposed to stay for one week, but loved being on the farm so much that I extended the stay for another 5 days. Giyongyi makes you feel right at home, and her depth of knowledge is so immense. Every day there is something new to learn, traditional meals to cook and rewarding work to be done. Giyongyi and her vineyard are a special gem. I believe a small piece of my heart will always stay in Romania, on this farm, with this family.

I had a very nice one-week stay! Gyongyi gave me a warm welcome and made sure I was always comfortable. She cooked wonderful (for me vegetarian) Romanian food and taught me a lot about her plants. It was very warm during my stay and Gyongyi was very keen that I didn't work too much and take lots of breaks. I dried plants and cut the vines. Our communication was a mix of some German, a little bit of English and when it got more complex we used an online translator. The garden really is a little paradise and if I will be in Romania again I'd love to come back.

Me and my 2 friends stayed 1 week at Gyongyis Vineyard, crama Ivan. We were treated like family from day one and not just by Gyongyi herself but also her helpful daughter and sister and her awesome nephew Matte! We enjoyed Romanian cuisine, spirits and wine, all made by Gyongyi and the kind workers of Crama Ivan. Gyongyi is an incredibly kind woman, and leaving the yard after such a heartwarming treatment even left us a bit teary. We even got to enjoy some family gatherings and experience authentic Romanian bbq! Regarding the work, it was tough, but only because we wanted to help as much as possible, and it felt so rewarding! We went through the entire winemaking process. (Picking, processing and storing the wine) Gyongyi is very observant and often told us to take as many breaks as possible when the workload seemed to overwhelming, at points forcing us to relax and try some homemade Romanian pastries. Thank you for the best week Gyongyi and the rest of the family, we hope to come back some time for another winemaking week❣️

We stayed for a week at Gyongi’s farm and had a lovely time. She is such a warm and enthusiastic person, shaping the place bit by bit into her own little paradise. We felt very welcome with her, her sister Noemi and nephew Mattei and the dog and cats. Adela, Gyongi’s daughter was a huge help too, helping out with the communication and everthing else. We worked in the vineyard, shaping the branches and there was also lots of time for relaxing, siesta and a palinka. Thanks for this experience!
