Between Arad and Deva between hills and woods its a beautiful nature with the wonderful simplicity of life! We are a family with 3 children, Ilona is the horse specialist, she has a small Tinker breed and runs a small riding school with riding education (Therapie and Meditation). We have a nice homestead with horses, dogs, a cat and we have a big vegetable garden and we liked to laugh and to be with differents people sitting at the fire and seeing the stars. We would like the volunteers to help with the animals and gardening. For your stay we can offer a room in our house or if you like you can stay with your tent in the garden.

Hey, I'm traveling alone on my motorcycle, on my way to Greece, I spent 11 wonderful days at Cristian's small farm, with his horses. He showed me a lot of Romania and the surrounding area. We visited different cities and the countryside. I learned a lot about Romania and met some great people. I'll definitely be back :) I slept in room, but I could have camped too. We cooked and baked together, played chess, and watched movies. I felt very welcome. Cristian was very attentive and always made sure I was okay. Thanks for the wonderful time, July. ^^

We are very grateful for our stay at Christian's and Iliona's place. They are so friendly and kind. Although Christian does not know English very well, he could tell us whole stories with mimicry and words in English, German and Romanian. We learned a lot about the history and culture of Romania. The three playful kids taught us some Romanian words. Ilona, who knows English well, told us some of her vast knowledge of horses. She really loves them. We met Kitano, Mia, Luna and the little foal Cosmos. The cat puffy and the dogs Mona and Lei enjoyed the attention we gave them. The other animals were not present anymore. Next to the animals there was a small vegetable garden where we planted some tomatoes. Our days were mainly filled with construction work. It's wonderful how the wooden stable holds together with so little nails. We gained experience in woodwork and roof work. However, safetymeasures were rare : ) Together with Christian we made our own sleeping platform in the stable above the horses, which we are proud of. Every day was different. There was no fixed routine in the days, not even in the eating hours. Cook when you get hungry. In the evenings, we often went for a walk. From the house there is a trail that goes up the hills with a beautiful view. Thank you for this experience, Christi and Ilona!
