Sub-Carpathian area, about 450 m above sea level, much forest. Cultivate whatever it takes to support a family of 5 persons from vegetables to fruit, trying to maintain specific varieties from this zone. construction (only with natural materials - straw bale house, cob, earth constructions, cordwood and many others), gardening. Family with three children. Maria housewife and János specialist in green building. In the last 9 years we are interested in becoming more environmentally friendly, lifestyle in nature, in harmony with nature. Our future goal is reducing costs far as possible (an off-grid lifestyle), encouragement, training, helping as many people to adopt a similar lifestyle. I chose to enroll in this list because seek socialization with people who think like us, help is welcome but are confident that we can be useful because a rich experience in this lifestyle, especially in the field of green building. Although the land is hidden, access is extremely easy, the land is situated in a valley between two localities, a valley with plenty of woods and a creek that embraces, caresses our land. The area is known for its health benefits, that due to high content of salt. (Sovata, Praid - Salt LAke and Salt Mine). We are also surrounded by many turistical and historical places, worth visiting.

Unfortunetley Janos canceled our visit 4 days before set arrival date. Because there were not many jobs to and also because of rainy wether forecasts. ( since we would camp in a tent) We were already on our way to them, by car from the Netherlands. This was really a big dissapointment for us. Timon, Nina and Floris

I had a great experience at this place. I helped out to build a "Hobbithouse" with natural materials. Maria and Janos are both so kindly and have a warm personality, so you feel welcome very fast. They support me, whenever they can, even after I got sick. If you are searching for an outdoor-experience and wanna have some nice trips with the hosts on top on your days off, then I recommend this place definitely for any interested person! Thanks for knowing you and your family :) Kind regards, Charlotte
