For nature lovers only!
The area we are located in, is very quiet and stunningly beautiful, it is all about nature and respect towards nature here.
Also nature comes inside in shape of cat, dog, lots of insects and spiders, so if you squeamish about any of these, please don't even think about coming.
There are no close neighbours, we live remote but not isolated.
It's a homestead in the paradisiac hills of Transylvania, away from the craziness of the so called civilised world and yet providing modern facilities like running water, electricity and Vodafone mobile and WiFi, although Wi-Fi very slow lately.
It's an old property that needs love and restoring, two 3 year old permaculture gardens that need constant maintenance and also an orchard that needs clearing of old trees to make space for new ones.
Located at 750m altitude in the Apuseni Mountains under the Vulcan massif, a great climate to grow almost everything, surrounded by nature and wild animals but nothing scary or dangerous.
A perfect place to enjoy summer as even with the very hot summers lately under the ancient walnuts or inside the house is nice and chill, as we can cool off during the night by opening all windows.
Perfect summer nights to enjoy outside as there are NO BUGS to annoy us.
As a volunteer myself for an year in Sicily, have been stayed with both very good and bad hosts, soI can see and understand both sides.
The closest shop is 4 km away, down in the valley, same as the closest bus stop.
One bus a day to the nearest town 26 kms away and one for return.
70 kms away to the nearest city accesable by bus.
We do have a vehicle but not to be driven by volunteers, if you desire to take on the hills by bike we do have a mountain bike available.
There are some stunning walks that can be done starting right from the property.
First thing in the morning, whilst is still cool is about checking what needs to be picked from the garden, grass to cut, tomatoes and cucumbers to tie up, hay to collect and bring and use as mulch for the plants and trees.
After lunch is siesta time and in the afternoon or evening if it's too hot we continue with what's left to do and water the plants that need it.
We cook in the evenings when it's cool for dinner and next day lunch with 80% produce from the garden.
Breakfast is something light and a coffee and then off in the garden.

The house has 3 big airy rooms. One for the host and 2 more bedrooms for the volunteers.

We can also go swimming in near by rivers and canyons.
When I'm not out in the garden or doing some DIY projects I knit, crochet and sew unique designs.
